DOÇ. DR. MEHTAP PEHLİVANLAR KÜÇÜK
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehtap PEHLİVANLAR KÜÇÜK graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine in 2009. She completed her specialty education at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Chest Diseases between 2010-2015. Between 2015-2018, she received intensive care subspecialty training at 19 Mayıs University, Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation. Since 2018, she has been working as a pulmonologist and intensive care specialist at Karadeniz Technical University Farabi Hospital.
In addition, in 2018, he worked at Ahi Evren Chest Heart and Vascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital for a short period of time, reinforcing his experience in the field of pulmonology. Between 2009-2010, she worked as a general practitioner at Rize Çayeli İshakoğlu State Hospital and gained experience in acute care and trauma management.
In his academic career, he has given trainings focusing on mechanical ventilation and extracorporeal organ support therapies. He has served as a course instructor and moderator in national and international congresses and has various scientific publications on mechanical ventilation, acute respiratory distress syndrome and COVID-19 management. In particular, her experience in ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) applications during the COVID-19 pandemic is noteworthy.
Dr. Pehlivanlar Küçük is a member of international medical organizations such as European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) and European Respiratory Society (ERS), Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO). In addition, our faculty is one of the 2 centers in Turkey that provide data flow registered to ELSO. Our faculty also actively participates in local medical societies such as Turkish Society of Intensive Care, Turkish Emergency Medicine Association, Lung Health and Intensive Care Association (ASYOD) and Turkish Thoracic Society. He serves as the chairman of the intensive care science committee in ASYOD.
