PROF. DR. MEHMET SÖNMEZ
Prof. Dr. Mehmet SÖNMEZ graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1988 and completed his internal medicine and hematology subspecialty training at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine. In 2006, he was appointed as Associate Professor and in 2011 as Professor.
He has many national and international published studies, papers, book chapters and editorials. He is also a member of many national and international institutions and organizations. He has been a member of the board of directors of the Turkish Hematology Association for three terms and is still serving as the president of the Black Sea Hemophilia Association.
Since 2009, he has been working as a faculty member responsible for the bone marrow transplantation unit, tissue typing laboratory, apheresis unit, flow cytometry and hemostasis laboratory at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine and has been working as the head of the Hematology Department.
